Export & move contacts between lists

Export your contacts to CSV and move or copy contacts between lists using the Transfer flow.

Open the Contacts table
Go to Contacts. The toolbar above the table holds the export and transfer actions.

Filter down first (optional)
Apply list, tag, or status filters so you export or move exactly the segment you want — both actions follow your current view.

Export to CSV
Click Export in the toolbar. FirstSales downloads a contacts-prefixed CSV of your current view.

Choose Add vs Move
Open the Transfer drawer and pick Add (copy into a second list, keeping the original) or Move (relocate out of the source list entirely).

Set source and destination
For Move, choose a source and a different destination list. Contacts are removed from the source once the move completes.

Confirm the transfer
Apply the transfer. If the destination feeds a live campaign, confirm the enrolment warning before it runs — nothing is written until you confirm.

The CSV follows your current table view, so a filtered list exports just that segment instead of your whole contact base.

Copy VIPs into a 'priority' list with Add while keeping them in their original list — Move would remove them from the source.

The column headers line up with the importer's field names, so you can re-import into another workspace or back into FirstSales without remapping.

The bulk 'Add all to list' action is disabled above 10,000 matching contacts — narrow your filter first for larger segments.

What format is the export?

A CSV file with a contacts filename prefix, matching your current table view and filters.

Can I export just one list or tag?

Yes — filter the table to that list or tag first, then export. The download reflects the filter.

What's the difference between Add and Move?

Add copies contacts into a destination list and keeps them in the source. Move relocates them and removes them from the source.

Is there a limit on moving contacts by filter?

Yes, 10,000 per filtered transfer. Narrow the filter for larger segments.

Will moving contacts email them?

Only if the destination list feeds an active or paused campaign, in which case you'll confirm an enrolment warning first.

Can I schedule automatic exports or sync to a CRM?

Not today — export is a manual CSV download. CRM connectors aren't available yet.
