Comparisons

Compare cold email software with FirstSales, one tool at a time.

Most teams who look at FirstSales already pay for something else, often three or four things. Find the tool you use today and read a plain side-by-side page: what it does well, what it charges for, and what changes if you move.

Why comparing is hard

Feature lists all look the same. The differences hide in the details.

Every cold email tool says it sends, warms up and writes. The questions that decide your choice are about limits, add-ons and what happens after month one.

Same words, different meaning

"Warm-up included" can mean one mailbox, a trial of an add-on, or the full thing. "AI writing" can mean a template filler or a writer that follows rules. A comparison has to say which.

The bill changes shape

A low starting price per seat or per mailbox grows as you add people and inboxes. You only see the real cost when you price the setup you will run in six months.

Switching feels risky

Moving tools means moving lists, mailboxes and running sequences. Without a clear picture of what moves and what stays, staying put feels safer even when it costs more.

How to use these pages

Three steps from your current tool to a clear answer.

You do not need to read every page. Start with what you pay for today.

  1. 01

    Find your tool

Search the list below or filter by the kind of tool. Open the page for the one you use most, or the one you are about to buy.

  2. 02

    Read the six answers

Each page answers the same six questions about sending, warm-up, leads, writing, replies and price, so two pages are easy to set side by side.

  3. 03

Test it on your own setup

Reading only goes so far. Try the whole of FirstSales for $1 for 3 days with your real domain and list, then decide.

Six questions every comparisonanswers the same way.

A side-by-side page is only useful if every page asks the same questions. These are the six we use, and the ones worth asking of any tool you look at.

  1. 01

    Sending

How many mailboxes can you connect, and what does each one cost?

Cold email works best spread across several mailboxes. We look at whether a tool charges per mailbox, caps them, or leaves them open. FirstSales has unlimited mailboxes on every plan.

  2. 02

    Warm-up and health

Is warm-up included, and can you see how a mailbox is doing?

We check whether warm-up is part of the product or a separate purchase, and whether you get a clear view of each mailbox. FirstSales runs a 21-day warm-up in 3 phases with hourly checks and a health grade.

  3. 03

    Leads

Can you find and check people without another tool?

Some tools only send to lists you bring. We look at lead search, list cleaning and address checks. FirstSales has the AI SDR, Signals and email verification on import.

  4. 04

    Writing

Does the writer follow your rules, and can you read every draft first?

We look at whether AI writing is included, whether it takes instructions, and whether you approve drafts before they go out. In FirstSales nothing sends until you say so.

  5. 05

    After the reply

Where do replies go, and do sequences stop on their own?

We check whether a reply stops the sequence for that person and whether there is a place to track the conversation. FirstSales stops on reply and has a built-in CRM and Copilot.

  6. 06

    Price shape

What grows the bill: seats, mailboxes, contacts or usage?

Two tools with the same starting price can cost very different amounts a year later. We name what each tool charges for. FirstSales charges for credits only, from $29/mo.

What a fair comparisonshould let you check

Four things to look at on any tool before you switch to it, or away from it. The names and numbers in these views are sample data.

  1. Scorecard

Score each tool on the same six questions

Write the six questions down and answer them for every tool you are looking at. A row that says "add-on" or "limit" is worth more attention than a row that says "yes". The pages below answer them for FirstSales and each tool in the list.

    • Same questions. Sending, warm-up, leads, writing, replies, price.
    • Plain answers. Included, add-on, limit or missing.
    • Side by side. Two tools read in one glance.
  2. Bill

Price the setup you will run, not the one you start with

List the mailboxes, seats and contacts you expect in six months, then price each tool against that list. Tools that charge per seat or per mailbox grow with every hire. FirstSales charges for credits, so adding people and mailboxes does not change the plan.

    • Seats. Unlimited team members on every FirstSales plan.
    • Mailboxes. Unlimited mailboxes, no per-inbox fee.
    • Usage. Credits from $29/mo, 1 credit is $0.01.
  3. Mailboxes

Check how each mailbox is looked after

A comparison should tell you what happens to a mailbox after you connect it. In FirstSales each one starts a 21-day warm-up in 3 phases, is checked every hour and shows a health grade, so you can see which inbox is ready and which needs time.

    • Warm-up. 21 days in 3 phases, included.
    • Hourly checks. Every connected mailbox.
    • Health grade. One grade per mailbox.
  4. Switching

Know what moves and what stays

Before switching, list what has to come with you: contacts, mailboxes, templates and live sequences. Contacts come in by CSV and are checked on import, mailboxes reconnect, and templates can be pasted in. Let running sequences finish where they are.

    • Contacts. CSV import, checked on the way in.
    • Mailboxes. Reconnect and start warm-up.
    • Sequences. Finish old ones, start new ones here.
“One of the best email outreach tools I have ever seen in my 9 years of business experience. It has solved the problem of email outreach for my cold emails.”

What FirstSales puts in one place

The parts most teams buy from separate tools.

Many comparisons end in the same place: one product doing what used to take several logins. This is what is in that one product.

  • Mailboxes and warm-up

Unlimited Google, Microsoft and SMTP/IMAP mailboxes. Each one gets a 21-day warm-up in 3 phases, hourly checks and a health grade.

  • Domain checks

SPF, DKIM and DMARC are read when you connect a mailbox, with a plain pass or fix for each record.

  • Lead search and Signals

The AI SDR finds people who match your best customer. Signals shows people engaging with LinkedIn posts you choose.

  • Email verification

Every imported address is checked on the way in, split into safe, risky and bad before anything sends.

  • AI writer and sequences

The AI writer drafts each email from your instructions. Sequences stop for a person the moment they reply.

  • CRM, Copilot and workspaces

Replies land in the built-in CRM. Copilot answers questions about your contacts and deals. Workspaces keep clients or brands apart.

Simple guide

How to compare cold email software without getting lost in feature lists.

Seven habits that keep a tool comparison honest. They work whichever tool you end up choosing.

  1. 01

    Start from your real week

Write down what you actually do: how many people you email, how many mailboxes you send from, who on the team touches replies. Compare tools against that week, not against the longest feature list.

  2. 02

Count the tools, not just the price

Add up every login in your current setup: sending, warm-up, lead data, verification, CRM. A single tool that replaces three can cost more on paper and less in total.

  3. 03

    Ask what grows the bill

Seats, mailboxes, contacts and usage all grow at different speeds. Ask each vendor which one their price follows and price your six-month plan, not your first week.

  4. 04

    Read the warm-up details

Warm-up is where tools differ most quietly. Ask how long it runs, whether it is included for every mailbox, and whether you can see each mailbox's health.

  5. 05

Test the writer on your offer

AI writing is easy to demo and hard to judge from a page. Give the writer your real offer and rules, then read twenty drafts. Would you send them?

  6. 06

Follow a reply all the way through

Send a test, reply to it, and watch what happens. Does the sequence stop? Where does the reply live? Who on the team sees it? That path is where deals are won or lost.

  7. 07

    Keep a short trial short

Decide what would make you switch before you start a trial. A three-day test with a clear question beats a month of clicking around.

Before you pick a tool

Ten things to know about it

If a comparison page cannot answer these, ask the vendor before you buy.

  • How many mailboxes you can connect
  • Whether each mailbox costs extra
  • Whether warm-up is included for every mailbox
  • How you see a mailbox's health
  • Whether SPF, DKIM and DMARC are checked
  • Whether addresses are checked on import
  • Whether the AI writer follows your instructions
  • Whether sequences stop when someone replies
  • Where replies and deals are tracked
  • What makes the bill grow over time

01Which tools can I compare with FirstSales here?

The list covers cold email tools, sales engagement platforms, lead data tools, warm-up and deliverability tools, outreach automation and CRMs. Search by name or filter by category to find yours.

02How are these comparisons written?

Every page answers the same six questions: sending, warm-up and health, leads, writing, what happens after a reply, and what the price is based on. That way two pages are easy to read side by side.

03Are competitor prices on these pages up to date?

Tool prices change often. Treat any price on a comparison page as a starting point and check the vendor's own pricing page before you decide. FirstSales prices are on our pricing page.

04What does FirstSales cost?

Plans start at $29/mo for Starter with 4,000 credits a month. Growth is $79/mo, Pro $149/mo and Business $499/mo. Every plan includes the whole product, unlimited mailboxes, team members and workspaces.

05Can I try FirstSales before switching?

Yes. You can try the whole product for $1 for 3 days, with your own domain, mailboxes and list. No feature is held back for a higher plan.

06Can I move my contacts from another tool?

Yes. Export your contacts as a CSV and import them into FirstSales. Every address is checked on the way in, so you see which are safe, risky or bad before anything sends.

07Do I need to stop my current campaigns to switch?

No. Let running sequences finish in your current tool while new mailboxes warm up in FirstSales. Start new sequences in FirstSales once warm-up has done its job.

08Does FirstSales replace my CRM?

For many small teams, yes. FirstSales has a built-in CRM for contacts, companies and deals, and Copilot answers questions about them. If you already use a CRM you like, you can keep it alongside.

Outreach that keeps going after you log off.Leads, emails, follow-ups and replies, handled.

Connect unlimited mailboxes and let AI agents find leads, write each email and follow up. Or send your own templates in manual mode. From $29/mo.

Install with AI

Your coding agent sets up the FirstSales CLI and skills for you.

Prompt for Claude Code

I'm setting up FirstSales (https://firstsales.io), an AI outbound sales platform: campaigns, contacts, a reply inbox, deliverability and lead signals. Help me get my workspace sending real, good emails end to end, from Claude Code.

Read these first so you know how FirstSales works:
- Developer docs and API: https://developer.firstsales.io
- CLI: https://www.npmjs.com/package/@firstsales.io/cli
- Skills for coding agents: https://github.com/firstsalesio/firstsales-skills (read README.md and GUIDE.md)

Setup
1. Install the CLI: npm install -g @firstsales.io/cli
2. Install the FirstSales skills:
   claude plugin marketplace add firstsalesio/firstsales-skills
   claude plugin install firstsales@firstsales
3. Ask me if I already have a FirstSales account. If not, send me to https://app.firstsales.io to sign up.
4. Ask me to create an API key under Settings → API → API Keys, with only the scopes we need.
Never ask me to paste the key into this chat. Tell me to run this in my own terminal, so the key stays hidden:
   read -rs FS_KEY && firstsales auth login --api-key "$FS_KEY"; unset FS_KEY
5. Run `firstsales whoami` and tell me which workspace and organisation we are connected to.

Then ask me about my business: what I sell, who I sell to (roles, company size, countries), my best customers, and what I use today for outbound (tools, lists, mailboxes). Walk me through:
1. Teaching FirstSales my business: website, offer, proof points and case studies in the knowledge base, so the AI writes like someone who knows the product.
2. Connecting my sending mailboxes and checking my sending domain: SPF, DKIM, DMARC and warm-up. If anything is unhealthy, tell me the exact DNS record to add.
3. Bringing in contacts: import my CSV or CRM export into a clean list, remove duplicates and bad emails, and block domains I must never email (customers, competitors, my own).
4. Building my first campaign: the right list, senders, steps and timing. Write the sequence with me, show me the drafts, and do not launch until I say yes.
5. Setting up Signals if it fits: find people engaging with LinkedIn posts about topics my buyers care about, and turn them into leads.
6. Inviting my team and giving each person the right access.

Once campaigns run, show me how to work the reply inbox from here: which replies need an answer, draft responses in my voice, and move good conversations into deals. If I use Cal.com, connect it so follow-ups can offer my booking link (not the first email).

Throughout, as you learn about my business, proactively suggest and help create:
- Reply templates for the questions and objections my prospects are likely to raise, based on my product, site and codebase if you can see them.
- Campaign ideas and segments worth testing, with the reason for each.

Safety rules:
- Show every change as a dry run (--dry-run) first and wait for my yes. Never send emails, launch campaigns or delete anything without my yes.
- Tell me before anything that spends credits, and how many.

Be opinionated. If the docs give a sensible default, just use it. Don't make me choose between five options.
