Copilot

Copilot: ask in plain words, and your sales work gets done.

Copilot is the chat inside FirstSales. Ask what to focus on, ask it to draft replies, check a campaign or build a new one. It reads your real workspace, shows every step it takes and asks before it sends or changes anything.

The problem

Too many screens for one simple question.

Outreach tools do a lot, but finding an answer means clicking through tabs, filters and reports. Most days you only want to know what to do next.

Answers live in five places

Replies are in the inbox, numbers are in analytics, deals are in the pipeline. Putting them together is your job, every morning.

Simple tasks take many clicks

Drafting a few replies or setting up a campaign means opening screen after screen, even when you already know what you want.

AI that acts without asking is a risk

An assistant that sends emails or changes campaigns on its own can do damage fast. You need help that checks with you first.

How it works

Ask, check, approve.

Copilot does the reading and the drafting. You keep the final say.

  1. 01

    Ask in plain words

Open Chat and type what you want, the way you would ask a teammate. “What should I focus on today?” is enough.

  2. 02

    See what it did

Chat lists every step it took, like reading your inbox or your campaign analytics, then answers. Nothing happens out of sight.

  3. 03

    Approve what matters

When the answer means sending an email or changing your workspace, it goes to Approvals first. Nothing is sent until you say yes.

Ask it anything

Four questions, and what Chat does with each.

You type a question in plain words. Chat reads the parts of your workspace it needs, shows each step it took and answers. When the answer means sending or changing something, it asks you first.

  • What should I focus on today?

    What Chat did

    1. Read inbox threads
    2. Read a thread
    3. Read campaigns

Start with the replies waiting in your inbox. One prospect wants examples, one asked about team pricing, and a follow-up draft is ready for your approval.

  • Draft replies to my inbox

    What Chat did

    1. Read inbox threads
    2. Read your knowledge base
    3. Write drafts

I wrote drafts for the open replies. They wait in Needs approval. Nothing is sent until you approve.

  • Analyze my latest campaign

    What Chat did

    1. Read campaigns
    2. Read campaign analytics

Your latest campaign is still sending and has already brought in replies. Let it run, and answer those replies first.

  • Help me build a campaign

    What Chat did

    1. Read your offerings
    2. Read your knowledge base

Tell me who you sell to. I will write the email steps from your offering and set the campaign up as a draft for you to check.

Ask anything about your sales...

Example answers from the sample workspace, shortened.

What you get

A teammate that knows your workspace and checks with you.

Copilot works on your real data, in the same app as your campaigns. It saves you clicks without taking control away.

  • Answers from your real data

Chat reads your live campaigns, contacts, companies, deals and inbox. If something is outside its reach, it tells you.

  • Every step in the open

Each answer shows what Chat read and did to get there, so you can trust it or check it.

  • You approve every send

Drafts and changes wait in Approvals. You review them, and only what you approve goes out.

  • It remembers what you teach it

Tell Chat a fact once and it keeps it. You can see, edit or delete everything it remembers.

  • Work, not just words

Chat finds leads, builds campaigns and drafts replies, and shows the results as cards you can act on.

  • Chats you can find again

Every conversation is saved for your workspace with a clear title, and you can search past chats.

Copilot in FirstSales,part by part

The four pieces you will use, in plain words.

  1. Chat

    One box for every question

Chat opens with “What can I help you sell today?” and a box that says “Ask anything about your sales...”. Ask about your inbox, your campaigns, your contacts or your deals. Chat works on live data from your workspace.

    • Plain words in, clear answers out. No special commands to learn.
    • Every step shown. See what Chat read and did before it answered.
    • Says when it cannot reach something. If a question is outside what it can see, it tells you.
  2. Approvals

Nothing goes out without your yes

Chat can take actions in your workspace, and you approve every send. Drafts and changes collect in the Approvals queue for that workspace. When it is empty, you see “No pending approvals”.

    • One queue per workspace. Everything waiting for you, in one place.
    • Approve or turn down. Read each item first, then decide.
    • Questions when it needs you. If Chat needs a choice, it asks with a question card.
  3. Memory

Facts it keeps, and you control

The Memory panel shows what Chat remembers, grouped by category. Facts it picked up on its own are marked. Edit or delete any fact, or add one yourself so every answer starts from it.

    • Grouped by category. Easy to scan and keep current.
    • Edit, delete or add a fact. You decide what Chat keeps.
    • Marked when learned on its own. You always know where a fact came from.
  4. History

Pick up where you left off

Every chat is saved for the workspace you are in, with a title made from the conversation. Search past chats to find an answer again. Rate answers with thumbs up or down, and that feedback shows on your Learning page.

    • Saved per workspace. Each workspace keeps its own conversations.
    • Search chats. Find an old answer in seconds.
    • Feedback that counts. Thumbs up and down feed the Learning page.

Not just text.Cards you can act on.

When a plain answer is not enough, Chat shows a card: a table, a report, a plan or a change to approve. You read it, adjust it and act on it without leaving the conversation.

Why it is different

Copilot: FirstSales vs a general chatbot

A general chatbot can write. Copilot works inside your outreach, on your data, with your approval.

Plain guide

How to get good answers from Copilot.

Copilot works best when you ask like you would ask a sharp teammate. These habits help.

  1. 01

Start with what you want, not how to get it

Say the outcome: “Draft replies to my inbox” or “Help me build a campaign for agency owners”. Chat works out which parts of your workspace to read. You do not need to name screens or settings.

  2. 02

Give it the one detail it cannot guess

Chat can see your data, but not what is in your head. If you want a campaign for a new market or a reply with a certain tone, say so in one line. That single detail often decides whether the first answer is the right one.

  3. 03

Read the steps when the answer surprises you

Every answer shows what Chat read and did. If a number or a suggestion looks off, the steps tell you where it came from. Often the fix is to point it at the right campaign or list.

  4. 04

Teach it facts once, in Memory

If you keep repeating the same thing, such as who you sell to or a word you never use, add it to Memory. Every later answer starts from it. Review the panel now and then, and remove facts that are no longer true.

  5. 05

Treat approvals as your quality check

Approvals are where you protect your sender reputation and your brand. Read each draft as if you wrote it. Edit what is close, turn down what is wrong, and only approve what you would send yourself.

  6. 06

    Rate the answers

A quick thumbs up or down takes a second. That feedback shows on your Learning page, so you can see where Chat helps most and where it needs more from you.

  7. 07

    Use one chat per job

Start a new chat for each task, such as today's inbox or a new campaign. Titles stay clear, search works better, and each answer has only the context it needs.

  8. 08

Ask it to explain before it acts

When a request is big, such as a new campaign or many replies at once, ask Chat to describe its plan first. It shows what it would read, write and change, and you can adjust the plan before anything is drafted. This keeps the work small, clear and easy to approve, and it helps you spot a wrong list or a missing detail early.

  • You read each draft before you approve it
  • You start a new chat for each new job
  • You read the steps when an answer looks off
  • You rate answers with thumbs up or down
  • You know Chat asks before it sends or changes anything

01What is FirstSales Copilot?

Copilot is the chat inside FirstSales. In the app it is called Chat. You ask in plain words, and it reads your workspace, shows each step it takes and answers. It can find leads, build campaigns and draft replies.

02What can Copilot see?

It works on live data from your workspace: campaigns, contacts, companies, deals and your inbox. If a question is outside what it can reach, it tells you.

03Can Copilot send emails on its own?

No. Chat can take actions in your workspace, but you approve every send. Drafts and changes wait in the Approvals queue until you say yes.

04Does Copilot remember things?

Yes. The Memory panel shows what Chat remembers, grouped by category. You can edit or delete any fact and add your own.

05Are my chats saved?

Yes. Each chat is saved for the workspace you are in, with a title made from the conversation. You can search past chats.

06Is Copilot only text?

No. When it helps, Chat answers with cards, such as a contact table, a campaign report, a pipeline board, a follow-up list or an approval request.

07Does Copilot cost extra?

Install with AI

Your coding agent sets up the FirstSales CLI and skills for you.

Prompt for Claude Code

I'm setting up FirstSales (https://firstsales.io), an AI outbound sales platform: campaigns, contacts, a reply inbox, deliverability and lead signals. Help me get my workspace sending real, good emails end to end, from Claude Code.

Read these first so you know how FirstSales works:
- Developer docs and API: https://developer.firstsales.io
- CLI: https://www.npmjs.com/package/@firstsales.io/cli
- Skills for coding agents: https://github.com/firstsalesio/firstsales-skills (read README.md and GUIDE.md)

Setup
1. Install the CLI: npm install -g @firstsales.io/cli
2. Install the FirstSales skills:
   claude plugin marketplace add firstsalesio/firstsales-skills
   claude plugin install firstsales@firstsales
3. Ask me if I already have a FirstSales account. If not, send me to https://app.firstsales.io to sign up.
4. Ask me to create an API key under Settings → API → API Keys, with only the scopes we need.
Never ask me to paste the key into this chat. Tell me to run this in my own terminal, so the key stays hidden:
   read -rs FS_KEY && firstsales auth login --api-key "$FS_KEY"; unset FS_KEY
5. Run `firstsales whoami` and tell me which workspace and organisation we are connected to.

Then ask me about my business: what I sell, who I sell to (roles, company size, countries), my best customers, and what I use today for outbound (tools, lists, mailboxes). Walk me through:
1. Teaching FirstSales my business: website, offer, proof points and case studies in the knowledge base, so the AI writes like someone who knows the product.
2. Connecting my sending mailboxes and checking my sending domain: SPF, DKIM, DMARC and warm-up. If anything is unhealthy, tell me the exact DNS record to add.
3. Bringing in contacts: import my CSV or CRM export into a clean list, remove duplicates and bad emails, and block domains I must never email (customers, competitors, my own).
4. Building my first campaign: the right list, senders, steps and timing. Write the sequence with me, show me the drafts, and do not launch until I say yes.
5. Setting up Signals if it fits: find people engaging with LinkedIn posts about topics my buyers care about, and turn them into leads.
6. Inviting my team and giving each person the right access.

Once campaigns run, show me how to work the reply inbox from here: which replies need an answer, draft responses in my voice, and move good conversations into deals. If I use Cal.com, connect it so follow-ups can offer my booking link (not the first email).

Throughout, as you learn about my business, proactively suggest and help create:
- Reply templates for the questions and objections my prospects are likely to raise, based on my product, site and codebase if you can see them.
- Campaign ideas and segments worth testing, with the reason for each.

Safety rules:
- Show every change as a dry run (--dry-run) first and wait for my yes. Never send emails, launch campaigns or delete anything without my yes.
- Tell me before anything that spends credits, and how many.

Be opinionated. If the docs give a sensible default, just use it. Don't make me choose between five options.
