What the Zoom app does
The FirstSales app for Zoom puts a Zoom meeting on every booking made through your FirstSales booking links. When someone books time with you, FirstSales creates the meeting in your own Zoom account and sends the join link to you and your guest.
Each host connects their own Zoom account. A meeting is always created in the account of the host who takes it, so it shows up in that host's Zoom app like any other meeting they schedule.
You need two things before you start:
- A FirstSales account with access to Meetings, and a Google or Outlook calendar connected to it.
- A Zoom account. Free and paid Zoom plans both work. Meeting length and participant limits come from your Zoom plan.
Add the app from FirstSales
Sign in at app.firstsales.io and open Connectors. Click Add Connector, choose Zoom, and click Connect Zoom.
Zoom opens its own sign-in and permission screen. Sign in with the Zoom account you want meetings created in, read the permissions, and click Allow. Zoom sends you back to FirstSales, and the Zoom card shows the email of the account you connected.
FirstSales asks Zoom for only what it needs:
- Your basic Zoom profile (name, email and Zoom user ID), so we know which Zoom account is yours and can show it on the card.
- Create and manage meetings you host, so we can create a meeting for each booking, and replace or delete it when the booking is rescheduled or cancelled.
FirstSales does not ask for your recordings, chat, contacts or meeting content, and never sees your Zoom password.
Or add it from the Zoom App Marketplace
Find FirstSales on the Zoom App Marketplace and click the button to add it. You land on FirstSales. Sign in if asked, and FirstSales takes you straight to the Zoom connect step from the section above.
If your company manages Zoom centrally, your Zoom admin may need to approve the FirstSales app for your account first. Zoom shows a message on the add screen when that is the case.
Put Zoom on a booking link
Open Meetings and go to Booking links. Open the link you want, find Where, and choose Zoom. Save the link.
From now on, every booking on that link gets its own Zoom meeting. You can set this on as many links as you like, and each link keeps its own setting.
On a team link, each host who can be booked should connect their own Zoom first, because the meeting is created in the account of the host who takes the booking.
What happens when someone books
When a guest books a time, FirstSales:
- Creates a Zoom meeting in the host's Zoom account, with the booking's title, start time and length.
- Adds the Zoom join link to the confirmation email, the calendar invite and the booking details in FirstSales.
- Creates a new Zoom meeting and join link for the new time when the booking is rescheduled, and deletes the old meeting.
- Deletes the Zoom meeting when the booking is cancelled.
You join the way you join any Zoom meeting: from the link in the invite, or from the meeting list in your Zoom app.
Disconnect Zoom in FirstSales
Open Connectors, find the Zoom card and click Disconnect.
FirstSales asks Zoom to revoke its access, then deletes your Zoom tokens and the Zoom account details it stored for you. New bookings no longer get a Zoom meeting. Booking links that used Zoom ask for another place to meet until you connect Zoom again or pick something else.
Remove the app from Zoom
You can also remove FirstSales from the Zoom side. Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace, click Manage, then Added Apps. Find FirstSales and click Remove.
Zoom tells FirstSales the app was removed. FirstSales then deletes your Zoom tokens and the Zoom account details it stored for you straight away, the same as a disconnect. Only your connection is removed. Other hosts in your workspace keep theirs.
What data FirstSales keeps
While Zoom is connected, FirstSales stores:
- Your Zoom user ID, email and display name.
- The access and refresh tokens Zoom gives us, encrypted at rest.
- For each booking, the Zoom meeting ID and join link, so we can update or cancel that meeting and show the link on the booking.
When you disconnect or remove the app, the first two are deleted straight away. Meetings already created stay in your Zoom account, and you manage or delete them in Zoom as usual. Bookings keep their record in FirstSales under your workspace's normal retention, described in our Privacy Policy.
Troubleshooting
- The Zoom window closed and nothing connected. Your browser may have blocked the pop-up. Allow pop-ups for app.firstsales.io and click Connect Zoom again.
- The wrong Zoom account connected. Disconnect Zoom in FirstSales, sign out of zoom.us in the same browser, then connect again with the right account.
- Zoom says your admin must approve the app. Ask your Zoom account admin to allow FirstSales in the Zoom App Marketplace, then try again.
- A booking has no Zoom link. The host's Zoom was disconnected or removed when the booking was made. Reconnect Zoom from Connectors, then open the booking and add the link by hand, or reschedule it.
- The meeting ends early. Meeting length limits come from the host's Zoom plan, not from FirstSales.

Connect the account you host from
Meetings are created in the Zoom account you connect. If you have a work and a personal Zoom account, connect the one your guests should meet you in.
Each host connects their own Zoom
Connections are per person. A teammate's Zoom never hosts your meetings, and removing yours leaves theirs untouched.
