Step-by-step tutorials, now inside the app

In-app tutorial hub with step-by-step guides

You no longer have to leave FirstSales to figure out how to use FirstSales. A new Tutorial section, built directly into the app, walks you through the product step by step, with screenshots for every step and search to jump straight to the guide you need.

What changed

A Tutorial item now sits in your sidebar navigation. Open it and you land in a dedicated tutorial section with guides organized by category, so you can browse by the part of the product you're trying to learn, whether that's setting up a campaign, connecting a mailbox, understanding your Learning writing profile, or reading your analytics.

Each guide is written as a real walkthrough: numbered steps, each paired with a screenshot showing exactly what you should be looking at in the product at that point. Instead of a wall of text describing a screen, you see the screen itself, with the relevant part called out.

The whole tutorial library is searchable. If you know roughly what you're trying to do, like connect a calendar or add a new sending domain, you can search for it directly instead of browsing through categories to find the right guide.

Tutorials are available in five languages: English, Spanish, French, German, and Portuguese. If your workspace or browser is set to one of those languages, tutorials display in that language automatically, screenshots included where the interface itself is localized.

How to use it

Click Tutorial in your sidebar to open the tutorial section. From there, browse the categories to find guides grouped by area of the product, or use the search bar at the top to look for a specific topic by name, like "connect mailbox" or "set up a campaign."

Open any guide and work through it step by step. Each step includes a screenshot right next to the instructions, so you can compare what you see on your own screen to what the guide shows. If a step references a specific button or tab, the screenshot points to exactly where it is, so you're not hunting for it.

If you're working in a language other than English, check that your account or browser language is set correctly; tutorials will follow that setting and display in Spanish, French, German, or Portuguese automatically.

Bookmark or return to the Tutorial section any time you're onboarding a new teammate, trying a feature for the first time, or just need a refresher on a workflow you don't use often. Because it lives inside the app, you can open a guide in one tab and follow along in the product in another without losing your place.

The categories cover the parts of the product people ask about most: connecting a mailbox and getting through DNS verification, setting up a campaign from scratch, understanding how your Learning writing profile works, reading your analytics and reply data, and working with contacts and lead imports. If you're onboarding onto FirstSales for the first time, working through the setup-focused guides in order is a reasonable way to get a full picture of the product before you start building your own campaigns.

Because the guides live inside the app rather than on a separate help site, they're also a natural place to send a new teammate instead of writing your own internal documentation from scratch. Point them at the Tutorial section for the basics, connecting their mailbox, understanding the campaign builder, reading the dashboard, and save your own onboarding notes for whatever is specific to how your team actually runs outreach.

Each guide is scoped to teach one part of the product rather than trying to cover everything in a single long document, so you're not scrolling through an entire onboarding manual to find the two steps relevant to what you're doing right now. That structure also makes the guides easier to keep accurate over time, since a change to one part of the product, say the campaign builder, only touches the guides that actually cover the campaign builder rather than requiring a rewrite of a single monolithic document.

Why it matters

Before this, learning how to use a feature usually meant searching outside the product: a help center, a support ticket, or asking a teammate who'd already figured it out. That's slower, and it means the help you find isn't guaranteed to match what you're actually looking at in the app, especially after the interface changes.

Having tutorials live inside the product, with real screenshots tied to real steps, closes that gap. You get an answer without switching context, and because the guides live alongside the product itself, they're built to reflect the actual screens you're using rather than a static document that drifts out of date.

The language support matters if your team isn't all working in English. A step-by-step guide that only exists in one language is a real barrier for a teammate who's more comfortable working in Spanish or Portuguese. Having the same walkthroughs available in five languages means everyone on your team can onboard themselves without needing someone else to translate the product for them.

Search matters for a simpler reason: most of the time, you know what you're trying to do, you just don't know where in the app to do it. Being able to search "warm up" or "API key" and land on the right guide is faster than guessing which category it might be filed under.

If you notice a guide that's out of date or missing a screen you're looking at, that's useful feedback: the tutorial library is expected to grow and get corrected alongside the product itself, rather than existing as a fixed document written once and left alone.

A searchable, in-app library also means you don't have to guess which browser tab had the help article you found last week; whatever you needed is in the same place every time, right next to the product it explains.

Availability

The Tutorial section is available now for all accounts, in English, Spanish, French, German, and Portuguese, following your workspace or browser language setting. New guides are added as new parts of the product ship, so check back in the Tutorial section after major feature releases.
