# Managed DKIM asks for a TXT record

The managed DKIM setup steps now ask you to add a TXT record, which is the record your DNS needs.

When you set up managed DKIM for a mailbox, the steps told you to add the wrong kind of DNS record.

## What changed

The setup steps under Connectors now ask you to add a TXT record, and show the exact value to copy.

## Why it matters

The wrong record type means DKIM never passes, and your emails are more likely to land in spam.
