# Bulk-action buttons no longer break mid-word

Bulk-action button labels in tables, like Delete or Add to campaign, could wrap and split a word across two lines; labels now stay intact regardless of width.

A small but noticeable visual bug in tables across FirstSales is fixed: bulk-action button labels no longer break in the middle of a word when the button is narrower than the label.

## What changed

Wherever you select multiple rows in a table, contacts, deals, campaign contacts, and a bar of bulk-action buttons appears, letting you do things like delete the selection, add the selected contacts to a campaign, or export what you've picked. Some of those action labels are longer words or phrases, and at certain screen widths or with certain button sizes, the text would wrap onto a second line in the middle of a word instead of wrapping at a natural word break, or shrinking to fit.

The result looked broken even though the button still worked correctly: a label like "Add to campaign" could end up wrapping as "Add to cam" on one line and "paign" on the next, which reads as a rendering bug rather than a functioning button, even though clicking it did exactly what it was supposed to.

That's fixed. Bulk-action button labels now wrap at word boundaries when they need to wrap at all, and stay as a single readable line whenever there's room, so you're not looking at a table action bar with text broken apart mid-word.

## How to use it

There's nothing to configure. Select multiple rows in any table that supports bulk actions, contacts, deals, or campaign contact lists among them, and the action bar that appears will render its button labels intact, regardless of your screen size or how many actions are showing at once.

If you're working on a narrower screen or with a browser window that isn't maximized, this is where you were most likely to have run into the broken wrapping before; it should now read cleanly at any width the action bar supports.

This showed up most often on tables where several bulk actions are available at once, so the action bar has less room per button before it needs to wrap. Contacts and deals tables tend to offer the most actions in a single bulk-action bar, delete, export, add to campaign, and similar options, which meant they were also the most likely place to run into the mid-word wrapping, especially on a laptop screen or a browser window that wasn't at full width.

The fix changes how the button labels handle limited space: instead of allowing a line break to fall anywhere the text happens to run out of room, wrapping now only happens at a natural word boundary, and buttons size themselves to keep short labels on one line whenever there's space to do so. If a label genuinely needs to wrap because there isn't enough room for it as a single line, it wraps as whole words stacked on top of each other, which reads correctly even split across two lines, rather than a word getting cut in half wherever it happened to run out of horizontal space.

It's a narrow fix, but it's the kind of thing you notice every time you select more than one row, which for anyone managing contacts or reviewing deals in bulk is a routine, frequent action rather than an occasional one. A table you work in constantly is exactly the place where small rendering issues like this are worth fixing quickly rather than leaving as a minor cosmetic quirk.

## Why it matters

Say you're clearing duplicate contacts before a big send: select a batch, hit delete, select the next batch, hit delete again, a dozen times in a row without slowing down to read each button closely. That's the exact workflow where a label broken across two lines costs you something real. Seeing "Add to cam" stacked over "paign" makes you pause and re-read before clicking, just to confirm you're about to add contacts to a campaign and not trigger something else, even though the button was never actually broken. That half-second of doubt, repeated across dozens of selections in a session, is the real cost of the bug, not just how it looked.

It also matters more for teams than for a solo account. If you train a new hire on FirstSales using screenshots or a recorded walkthrough, a bulk-action bar with garbled labels reads as something wrong with the product on day one, before they've learned to trust that an odd-looking button might still work fine. A first impression formed from a training screenshot is hard to walk back once someone's already decided a tool feels unfinished.

Fixing it doesn't change what any button does. What it removes is the small hesitation, the extra half-second of reading twice, that a broken label adds to an action you repeat constantly across contacts, deals, and campaign lists, and the need to caveat a training screenshot with "ignore how that looks, it still works" before handing it to someone new.

There's a related cost for anyone reviewing a teammate's work after the fact, comparing a screenshot from a support ticket or a shared screen recording against what the table actually looks like today. A garbled label in an old screenshot used to raise a question worth chasing down, was this ever actually broken, or is it just a rendering artifact from whatever browser or window size that screenshot happened to be taken at. That's one less thing to rule out now.

It's worth being specific about which tables see this most: contacts and deals views, where bulk actions like delete, export, and add to campaign sit close together in a single bar. Those are also the tables people tend to work in for stretches of focused cleanup, clearing out unsubscribes, merging duplicates, or moving a batch of qualified deals forward, rather than a single click and moving on. A visual glitch that repeats on every selection is worse in exactly the workflow where you're selecting rows over and over in a short span, since there's no gap between one broken label and the next to let it fade into the background.

## Availability

This fix is live for all accounts now, across every table in the product that supports bulk actions.
