# Alerts when a campaign pauses itself

When a campaign pauses itself to protect your sending, you now get an alert and an email, and the alert clears when you resume.

FirstSales pauses a campaign on its own when bounces or spam complaints climb too high. That protects your mailboxes. Now you also hear about it: an alert in the app and an email to your workspace admins.

## What changed

* **Alert and email.** An automatic pause now creates a campaign alert and emails the admins of the workspace.
* **No missed notices.** If a notice fails to send, FirstSales tries again until it gets through.
* **Clears on resume.** When you resume the campaign, the alert goes away on its own.
* **Gentler soft-bounce retries.** An email that soft-bounces (a temporary failure, such as a full inbox) is now retried at most twice. Hard bounces are still never retried.

## Why it matters

A paused campaign that nobody knows about is a campaign that quietly stops working. The alert tells you to check your lists or mailboxes while it still matters.
